Prairiesta Queen Contest Kick-off

Just as all too soon Cinderella’s coach turned into a pumpkin 

and her coachmen turned into mice, 

the Prairiesta 2021 contests will end 

and candidates will change into either 

a Queen 

or part of the royal court.

Queen candidates are required to officially sign up on March 30th from 5-6pm at Chet’s Place at 709 N. Main.  If you cannot make the sign up meeting, please contact Kendra Trueblood at 785-483-9347, or email  kendra@aboutyourealty.com  to receive an official entry form. 

The Queen contest begins on Sunday, April 11th.   All candidates will be required to participate in the Style Show on Sunday, April 25th at the Dream Theater starting at 2pm. Please be dressed in period clothing for the Style Review.

Tickets will be signed for and checked out by the candidates and money will be returned to Kendra every Monday by 5pm, beginning April 19, 2021.

Additional money turn-in dates:

April 19 by 5:00 pm **Bonus Week**

April 26 by 5:00 pm

May 3 by 5:00 pm

May 10 by 5:00 pm

May 17 by 5:00 pm

***There will be a bonus week the 1st week  --  April 19, 2011, by 5:00 pm:

500 Bonus points if you turn in $2,000 in ticket/contribution money

1000 Bonus points if you turn in $3,000 in ticket/contribution money

The contest will end on May 16, 2021 at 5:00 pm. By that date and time, money for all sold merchant coupon books and queen tickets, plus unsold coupons and tickets must be turned in for final count.

Please note:

Queen candidates will be required to attend/participate in the Prairiesta Style Show Sunday, April 25th at 2:00pm in the Dream Theater.

The Queen and her Royal Court will be crowned and announced May 20, 2021, after the promenade.

The Queen will also be in the Prairiesta Parade on Saturday, June 12th which begins at 10am.

There will be additonal times, as the 2021 Prairiesta Queen, to promote Prairiesta and be part of the Prairiesta fun, such as in the Prairiesta Caravans.   Dates and the towns we will be visiting and riding through will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
